Mitch Fossier scored two goals and assisted on two others as the UMaine Black Bears beat New Hampshire 5-3 Saturday night. That means it's a weekend split with the Wildcats.

For Fossier, the junior from Georgia, it had to be a sweet night. His one and only goal of the season came back on November 17th. He did have 22 assists entering last night's game.

Tim Doherty, Brady Keeper and Chase Pearson scored Maine's other goals.

Jeremy Swayman stopped 41 shots in net for the Black Bears.

UMaine improves to 6-7-2 in Hockey East (10-13-3 overall). UNH is now 6-6-5 in HE and 10-9-8 overall.
