Maine Maritime Academy basketball coach David Muchnick has announced his 2015 recruiting class which features four players from Eastern Maine. Two of the incoming freshman have recently won State Championships as Old Town's Adam Richardson helped win the class B title in 2013 while Andre Paul won the class C title this year with Calais. They will be joined by Alik Espling from Orono, Cony grad Alexander Neill is transferring from Unity College and Dennis DJ Harris from St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in Vallejo California.

Muchnick will be entering his second season as the programs coach and had a young team a year ago finishing with a record of 3-22. "We are absolutely thrilled with this first recruiting class at Maine Maritime," said Muchnick. Maine Maritime enters the 2015-16 season with eight returning players, six of whom were underclassmen last season. "Bringing in multiple impact players at key positions, as well as one from 3,000 miles away, speaks highly of the work our entire coaching staff has done this year. Anytime you rebuild a program, you're looking to bring in newcomers who know what it takes to be successful. This recruiting class is a giant leap forward on the path to championship possibilities, and our staff couldn't be happier."
