After taking a couple weeks off for the holidays, the University of Maine hockey returned to the Alfond Arena ice and scored a 4-1 win over Canisius.Four different players got goals for the Bears who took the lead early in the game on a goal from Connor Riley, but the game would be tied going into the first intermission.

Maine got the lead for good seven minutes into the second period when Nolan Vesey's third goal of the season found the back of the net. UMaine added two more in the final period on goals by Malcom Hayes and an empty netter from Devin Shore.

Sean Romeo posted his third win of the season after stopping 28 of the 29 shots he faced. Maine improves to 5-13-1 on the season and wrap up the weekend set against Canisius with a 7pm drop of the puck tonight at the Alfond.
