It’s time for you to help us decide again who should be the winner of this week’s McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week.  We have our fourth vote of the winter sports season, and you can choose between four different athletes.

Kolleen Bouchard again is having a great high school basketball season as her team moved to 7-0 on the season with two wins this past week.  In a 48-17 win over Hodgdon to start the week, Bouchard dropped 10 points, and then followed up with 28 against Central as the Shires handed the Red Devils their first loss of the season.  Houlton remains undefeated heading into the week and are the top team in Class C North.

Forward Tyler McCannell had a nice week for the Old Town/Orono ice hockey team.  McCannell dropped a goal in a 4-0 win over Kennebec last Wednesday and then had two goals and an assist in a 7-0 victory versus Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI.  The Black Bears are 7-0 on the season with a team high 11 goals on the season.

Madie Cormier of the Bangor High School indoor track team had a nice weekend, winning three events at the EMITL event at Orono.  The Senior won the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.83, the 200 meter with a 27.82 mark, and was part of the 4x200 meter relay squad that also placed in first place.  The Rams won the competition by a wide margin over the rest of the field this past Saturday.

Bailey Donovan and the Hampden Broncos notched two big wins last week and are now at the top of the Class A standings.  Donovan had a 16 point, 7 rebound, and 4 block game versus Skowhegan as the Broncos moved to 8-1 on the season.

The decision is up to you to choose who you think is the McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week between these four great athletes from this past week!
