Foxcroft’s Ryan Rebar Named Mr. Baseball

  Ryan Rebar of Foxcroft Academy received the John Winkin Award Friday night being named Mr. Baseball for 2013.Rebar got the honor prior to the start of the East / West Senior All-Star Game. He played shortstop and pitcher for the Ponies but made a name for himself on the mound posting a record of 5-1 and a 0.62 ERA. He also struck out 35 while walking just 3. At the plate he hit .365 with 4 extra basehits and 11 rbi.

The award caps off a senior year in which he was named PVC baseball player of the year, helped the football team win a state championship and the basketball team to the Eastern Maine semifinals.
