A new format was put in for this year's Major League Home Run Derby and Todd Frazier put 39 balls out on the way to winning this year's title in his home ballpark.Frazier beat Prince Fielder and the Blue Jays Josh Donaldson to advance to the final round where he would face Dodgers rookie Joc Pederson.
After Pederson launched 14 homers to begin the round, Frazier stepped to the plate and in the new timed format hit the tying homerun with just 10 seconds left. Frazier would then win it in the bonus round by sending the ball over the left field wall.

Frazier is the first Reds player to ever win the homerun derby and just the second player to ever win it in his home ballpark joining Ryne Sandberg who did it for the Cubs in 1990.

Next up is the All-Star game which you can hear tonight live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 7pm.
