Garet Beal Named Back-To-Back Gatorade Player Of The Year
Jonesport-Beals senior Garet Beal has been named the Maine Gatorade Player of the Year for the second time in as many years.Beal averaged 34 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks per game for the Royals who finished the season 18-1.
Beal is only the second player in Maine to win the award twice. TJ Caouette of Winthrop High School accomplished the same feat in 1995 and 1996.
Beal has already committed to play at the University of Maine in the fall.
