Husson University men's soccer coach Jeff Gettler is resigning his post after six seasons with the Eagles. His stint was the second longest in Husson's soccer program history.

Gettler's Eagles were 46-16-4 in North Atlantic Conference play and won NAC championships in 2011 and 2014.

"Over the course of my six years here, I've loved everything about Husson. Both the athletic department and soccer wise I'll be leaving a really special group of people," Gettler said in a school press release.

Gettler also served as an assistant athletic director at Husson.

Gettler and his family are moving back to the Richmond, Virginia area. He is  a former head coach of the University of Richmond.

Husson athletic director Frank Pergolizzi says a nationwide search begins for a new coach.
