A full day of Halloween festivities takes over Bucksport this weekend!

Ghostport 2017 is set for Saturday October 21st. The day features a full day of Halloween fun for the whole family. From the Little Ghouls and Goblins Parade to the the fireworks, it's a day full spooktacular events!

The Little Ghouls and Goblins Parade steps off at 10AM. Children of all ages and their parents are invited to dress up in costume and parade down Main Street. If interested in walking in the parade, plan to gather in front of the Bucksport Town Office at 10AM. The parade route is from the Town Office, down Main Street, to the Town Dock.

Don't miss your chance to fling a pumpkin into the Penobscot River! A big Trebuchet will be set up at Flag Point on the Bucksport Waterfront. Folks can launch pumpkins at a floating target to win prizes. The high flying flinging action takes place from 11:30AM-2PM and 2:30-4PM.

Fill up, and warm up on delicious chili at the 9th Annual Ghostport Chili Cook-Off from 12:30-2PM.

The ever popular and entertaining Jonathan Buck's Race to the Grave Coffin Race starts at 2PM. Teams build and decorate their own rolling coffins and push them down Main Street. Participants must be 16 years old or older to run or ride.

Trunk or Treating is back this year in the parking lot behind the Town Office. Kids can trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk and fill their bags with goodies from 2:30-4PM.

Across the river at Fort Knox Fright at the Fort Goes Nuclear continues from 5-8:45PM. They're will be a shuttle bus taking those brave enough from Main Street to the fort.

At the gazebo on the Bucksport Waterfront there's a pumpkin carving contest. Get creative! Judging starts at 6PM.

From 6-8:30PM get your groove on at the Bump in the Night Dance Party in front of the Historical Society. Admission is $1 in costume, or $3 without.

To cap off the evening enjoy the fireworks from the waterfront as they're launched from Fort Knox starting at 9:15PM
