Gilpin, Bess, Rossignol Among Finalists

The Maine Basketball Coaches Association has announced the finalists for the Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards which include three players from Eastern Maine.Hampden Academy seniors Zach Gilpin and Isaiah Bess are two of the three finalists for the Mr. Basketball Award joining Dustin Cole of Bonny Eagle High School.

The finalists for Miss Basketball includes Parise Rossignol of Van Buren, Tianna-Jo Carter of Lake Region, and Allie Clement of McAuley High School.

Winners will be announced Friday night at the Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Awards Banquet. The award recognizes the on court performances of the players as well as contributions to their team and basketball in the state of Maine. The annual east/west McDonald's All-Star games will be played on Saturday at Husson University.
