The Boston Red Sox are making a quick stop at Fenway Park for a series with the Rays and made the most of it Tuesday with a double header sweep, winning the first game 5-1 and walking off with a 3-1 win in game two.Jonny Gomes was the hero in the second game when he launched a walk-off 2-run homer over the green monster to complete the sweep. Felix Doubront had his best start of the season going 8 innings allowing just 3 hits while striking out 6.
In game one David Ortiz had 2 hits and 3 rbi to help the Sox get the 5-1 win in a game that included a two and a half hour rain delay. Alfredo Aceves came up from Pawtucket to make the start, going 5 innings for the win.
The two teams wrap up the series Wednesday with Ryan Dempster facing Jeremy Hellickson.
