Red Gendron's UMaine Black Bears hold down the #24 spot in the latest USCHO national poll. Maine swept AIC over the weekend to finish the first semester play at 9-6-1. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are the top ranked team at 12-2-2. The highest ranked Hockey East team is Providence at #5. Boston College is #7 and UMass Lowell is 10th.

Maine doesn't play again until the annual Florida tournament on December 28 and 29.
