New England Patriots v Buffalo BillsYou could call it opening day jitters or possibly a young receiving corps, but it was ugly and more importantly a win for the Patriots.Stephen Gostkowski kicked a 35 yard field goal with 35 seconds left to give the Patriots a 23-21 win over the Buffalo Bills. The Pats turned the ball over three times leading to 2 Bills touchdowns, the last coming with 3:57 to play in the third quarter giving them a 21-17 lead.

New England's offense was plagued not only by turnovers but several dropped passes by multiple receivers. Danny Amendola did come up with several key catches in the fourth quarter leading to a Gostkowski 33 yard field goal to get them within a point. After the Pats defense stopped Buffalo on a three and out the Pats went 49 yards on 12 plays to set up the winning field goal.

New England will have a short week coming up as they play their home opener against the Jets Thursday night live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
