Match Play Title: Wyman Vs Grindle
The Maine Match Play Golf Championship is now down to the final match. #1 seed Jack Wyman from South Freeport vs #2 seed Sam Grindle from Deer Isle.
The match takes place today at 7:30am at Waterville Country Club.
Maine State Golf Association officials could not have drawn it up better.
The top two seeds. Wyman won the Maine Amateur Championship (stroke play) last month. Grindle was the runnerup. Wyman is a lefty golfer. Grindle is a righty.
In the semi-final, Wyman defeated Craig Chapman 7 & 6. Grindle defeated Joe Baker 3 & 2.
