Grindle Shoots 2-Under Par 70 At NE Amateur [SCORES]

Deer Isle's Sam Grindle fired a 2-under par 70 in the first round of the New England Amateur Championship being played in New Hampshire. That put Grindle in a tie for 7th place with two rounds to play.

153 of the top amateurs from all over New England will compete for the next three days.

Along with Grindle, other Maine golfers include Joe Walp, Will Kannegieser, Matt Greenleaf, Mike Caron, Andrew Slattery, Drew Kane, Peter Wright, Brett Braasch, Craig Chapman, Malcolm Oliver and Jack Wyman.
