Gwynn Passes Away At 54

The baseball world is mourning the death of Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn who passed away today at the age of 54. Gwynn had been battling cancer.

Gwynn had a career batting average of .338, won eight NL batting titles and had 3,141 career hits.

Gwynn was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, his first year of eligibility.

Gwynn had been baseball coach at his alma mater San Diego State.
