The Hampden Broncos got a big night from their super sixth man Brian Fickett on their way to a 58-39 win over the Bangor Rams…

Fickett entered the game late in the first quarter and scored three straight baskets to give the Broncos a two point lead at the end of the quarter. He then scored another six points in the second quarter as the Broncos grabbed a 13 point lead at the half. Fickett finished with a game high 18 points.

Junior Zach Gilpin played through some foul trouble scoring 11 of his 17 points in the second half and Hampden ended up winning by 19. The win keeps Hampden in that #1 spot in Class A East with an 11-0 record.

For Bangor, Sean Tocci scored 15 and Alex Campbell scored 9. The Rams made one run in the second half to get within 7 but could never get closer. Bangor is now 8-4.

Next on the schedule for Hampden, a matchup at Skowhegan Tuesday night.
