Hampden, Bangor Tip-Off Tonight

The pre-season coaches poll gets put to the test tonight when Hampden and Bangor boys basketball teams meet at Red Barry Gym at 7 p.m. The Broncos and Rams were picked as the top two teams in that poll, both teams won on opening night and now they test each other.

Hampden is defending Class A champion, completing an undefeated season. Last Friday night the Broncos beat Brewer 86-40 with Zach Gilpin leading with 24 points.

Bangor finished its first year under new coach Ed Kotahla at 13-5. The Rams won at Lewiston on opening night 78-48 with Xavier Lewis scoring 26.
