Kory Winch of Hampden has been named First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week after posting a pair of 26-point games last week.

Winch won with 28 percent of the vote.

The senior guard tallied 26 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals in the Broncos' 70-45 victory over Mt. Blue. Winch had another 26-point game in last week's 87-64 victory at Medomak Valley.

Winch also chipped in 20 points in this week's 73-65 loss to Bangor at Red Barry Gym.

Other nominees this week included Kent Johnson of Hermon, Raeanah Reynolds of Washington Academy and Makenzie Beaudry of Foxcroft Academy.

Matt Fleming of Bangor, Orono's Connor Robertson, Bangor's Nick Boudreau, Rowan Andrews of Bangor, David Gross of Bucksport and Old Town's Lexi Thibodeau have also earned Athlete of the Week honors during the 2018-19 winter sports season.
