Red Sox outfielder Hanley Ramirez is headed back to Boston to get more tests done on his injured hand. It could be a precusor to a trip to the DL.

Ramirez was struck on the left hand by a line drive off the bat of Xander Bogaerts as he ran from first to second base last Wednesday.

Tests showed no structural damage but because Ramirez is still feeling soreness the team wants him to get a MRI.

He leads the team in home runs(15) and RBI(38). The Sox are already playing without Dustin Pedroia who is on the  DL with a hamstring injury.

Following today's game in Tampa Bay the Sox head to Toronto for a three game series.
