UMaine football coach Joe Harasymiak has finished 6th in the voting for the Eddie Robinson Award, the FCS Coach of the Year honor.

Dan Hawkins, the University of California-Davis coach, wins the award with 317 points in the voting. Ironically, Hawkins and his Aggies lost to Eastern Washington last week. That's the team UMaine plays in the semi-final Saturday afternoon.

UCD was picked to finish 9th in the Big Sky Conference and went 10-3.

Harasymiak and the Black Bears were picked 8th in the CAA poll and won the outright title.

The voting shows Harasymiak recieved 18 first place votes. That  was tied for fourth most among the 15 finalists.

Of the five coaches ahead of Harasymiak, only North Dakota State's Chris Klieman is still in the playoffs.
