The struggle for the UMaine baseball team in America East Conference play continues. Hartford beat the Bears 11-4 Sunday afternoon and swept the three game series.

The Black Bears fall to 2-9 in the conference and 11-26 overall.

Each team used four pitchers to get through the nine inning game.

TJ Ward hit a 4th inning home run for the Hawks to give them the lead that they would never give up.

Brenden Geary had three hits to lead the Black Bears.

UMaine Softball

UMaine softball lost the rubber game of its three-game weekend series with UAlbany, 5-3.

UMaine got outhit 11-3. Two of those three hits were home runs - Meghan Royle and Kristen Niland.

The Bears fall to 7-4 AE, 19-17 overall. Albany is 9-1 and 29-12.
