The Orono girls and the George Stevens Academy boys win Class C high school cross country state championships.

For the Red Riots, it's the third consecutive state title. For the Eagles, it's the first title since 1993.

Tia Tardy (19:43.81) had the fastest time. Her teammates Hannah Steelman and Kassidy Dill finishes two and three. The GSA girls team finished runnerup and Waynflete was third.

 

GSA's John Hassett (16:46.18) had the fastest boys time.His teammates Ollie Dillion was sixth and Will Entwisle was ninth. The Orono boys team finished second, Lisbon finished third.

 

In Class A, the Bonny Eagle HS girls and Scarborough boys won state titles. (Hampden Academy boys finished third, Bangor was sixth)

In Class B, the Yarmouth HS girls and Freeport boys captured state championships.
