HE Poll: Black Bears Picked #5

Fresh off a national poll that put them in the preseason top-30, the UMaine Black Bear hockey team has been picked fifth the Hockey East coaches poll.

That's the highest preseason ranking in a few years.

The Black Bears finished fifth last season in HE (10-11-3) (18-16-4 overall).

Of the seven players who totaled at least 20 points, six of them return. Goalie Jeremy Swayman is coming off an outstanding freshman year.
