Henry Owens made a sparkling debut with the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox Monday night. 6 2/3 innings of shutout pitching. He gave up just two hits and three walks. Owens struck out nine while throwing 100 pitches, 70 of them for strikes.

The 22-year-old lefty was promoted from the Portland Seadogs after going 14-4 with a 2.60 ERA in 20 starts.

The Pawsox beat the Columbus Clippers 5-0.
