Boston Red Sox Principal Owner John Henry: ‘Don’t Blame Bobby’

Red Sox majority owner John Henry held court with reporters in Fort Myers, Florida on Monday, the day Sox pitchers and catchers reported to spring training camp.

Henry again told reporters the Sox are not for sale and that the club does not make personnel moves based on TV ratings or other off-the-field reasons. Terry Francona's new book brought up that topic.

Henry also admitted that Bobby Valentine was not the right guy at the right time for the Sox last year. But, he told reporters to not blame Bobby V for that. "You can blame me, blame Tom and Larry, not Bobby."
