Hermon Stops Penquis 7 Game Win Streak

Three nights after losing in overtime to Penquis, the Hermon Hawks bounced back with a convincing 54-26 win over the Patriots Thursday night. The Hawks got balanced scoring and played stingy defense to get the job done.

Tyler Thayer scored 15 (he's now just 20 shy of 1,000), Tyler Beaton had 12 and Ryan Kelley with 9 in that balanced attack.

On defense, the Hawks held 1,000 point scorer Trevor Lyford of Penquis down to just eight points.

The Hawks have won 6 out of 7 to got to 9-4.

Penquis drops to 10-4.
