Jacob Godfrey, who scored 21 points in Hermon's win over Wells in the Class B title game, has been named the McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week.

By defeating the Warriors, the Hawks capped off a perfect 22-0 season and claimed the school's first ever state championship in boys basketball.

Godfrey, a Mr. Maine Basketball semifinalist, averaged 12.2 points per game during the tournament.

Other nominees this week included Taylor Schildroth of George Stevens Academy and Houlton's Kolleen Bouchard.
