Old Town’s Martin Wins Top PVC Awards
Old Town junior pitcher Rachel Martin took home the top two conference post-season honors in high school softball. Martin has been named the PVC Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year after posting a record of 12-0 with a 1.33 ERA. She struck out 92 and walked just 20. Offensively she batted .480 with 22 RBI and 16 stolen bases. Terry Cummings of Presque Isle was named the Coach of the Year after leading his Wildcats to an 11-5 record.
