Guerrette finished with 35 points.

After the Wildcats struggled in the first half, the game was tightened in the second half, with Presque Isle cutting the lead Lake Region lead to 36-33 with a three-pointer from Megan Ireland in the waning seconds of the third quarter.

The Wildcats pressure produced results in the final quarter, with Presque Isle hitting key shots down the stretch and outscoring Lake Region 30-15 in the second half.

The Wildcats made it to Friday’s final after defeating Nokomis 66-51 behind strong efforts by Ireland and Guerrette.
