The quarterfinal round of the high school hockey playoffs are in the books and the Bangor Rams and Brewer Witches have both advanced.Bangor eliminated the Brunswick Dragons by a 5-1 score and will play Lewiston in the semifinals Saturday in Lewiston. With the game tied at one after the first period, Alec Coleman-Pray scored the go-ahead goal early in the third that set off a scoring barrage for the Rams who added three more before the final buzzer sounded.

In class B, Caleb Eggert's goal in the final minute of the game gave the Brewer Witches a 4-2 win over the John Bapst Crusaders. Gabe Valley added an empty netter for the final goal of the game. The Witches will play the number one seeded Messalonskee Eagles in the semifinals Saturday at Sukee Arena.

Hampden's season came to an end when the Winslow Black Raiders scored with less than three minutes to play to pull out a 3-2 win. The Broncos end the season with a record of 7-11.
