As Hockey East plays its league championship tournament in Boston this weekend Commissioner Joe Bertagna releases next year's tentative HE schedule - the league's 30th anniversary year.

The 2013-14 season will mean several changes for UMaine hockey and other HE teams. Notre Dame joins the league and that means teams will play each other twice instead of the three times that has been scheduled in recent years.

The new look schedule always means the Black Bears and other Hockey East teams will play 14 out of conference games instead of seven. And, all 11 teams will make the HE playoffs.

The tentative schedule has Maine opening the season with a home-and-home series with Providence. The Bears play at Notre Dame on February 21st and 22nd.
