The Boston Red Sox gave the Toronto Blue Jays a taste of their own medicine Friday night, outslugging them for an 8-7 win. The key hit - a sixth inning grand slam by Brock Holt.

The Sox got behind the Jays because of a miserable start from Joe Kelly. Three innings and seven runs allowed. Toronto had a 7-2 lead. The big hit was a grand slam by Josh Donaldson.

The Boston bullpen came on a pitched six innings of 2-hit, shutout ball.

Then in the sixth inning, Holt's grand slam. In the seventh, David Ortiz had a RBI hit to tied the game. A Hanley Ramirez RBI hit gave the Sox a lead at 8-7.

Craig Kimbrell came on to get his first save, a one-two-three ninth inning.

The Sox move to 2-1. Toronto is 2-3.
