Al Horford was the big free agent signing for the Boston Celtics in the off season and last night C's fans got to see him in game action. He was impressive in limited minutes scoring eight points and grabbing eight rebounds.

The Celtics lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 92-89 in an exhibition game played by reserve players down the stretch.

Horford and the C's starters looked good for most of the night. The bench - not so much.

#1 draft pick Jalen Brown scored eight points, four rebounds and dished off four assists in 21 minutes.

The game was played at UMass-Amherst and was the first of six preseason games for the C's.

Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins lost their preseason game to the Montreal Canadiens 4-3. The Habs scored two third periods goals to get the win.

David Krejci and Torey Krug, both coming off surgeries in the off season, played for the first time. Other Bruins players who played in the World Cup of Hockey Tournament did not play.
