Houlton Golfer Wyatt Harvey Named Athlete Of The Week

Wyatt Harvey of the Houlton golf team has won First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week honors after helping lead his team to a Class C state title last weekend.

Harvey won with 42 percent of the vote.

He shot a team-best 81 at Natanis Golf Course on Saturday.

It was the Shiretowners' fifth state championship and their first since 2009.

Other nominees this week included Percy Zentz of the George Stevens Academy golf team, Kristina Kelly of the Camden Hills girls soccer team, Hunter Washburn of the Skowhegan football team, Drew Hayward of the Woodland soccer team and Jack Thompson of the Waterville football team.

Other Athlete of the Week winners from the 2018 fall sports season include Hermon's Wyatt Gogan, MDI's Elijah Joyce, Winslow's Alex Demers, Hermon's Garrett Trask and Alex Costedio of Nokomis.
