The battle for Broadway played out Wednesday night in the sport of lacrosse. Bangor and John Bapst are the newest boys lacrosse varsity teams in the region.

The Rams beat the Crusaders 20-5 to improve to 8-2. John Bapst is still looking for its first win.

Reid Higgs scored five goals for the Rams. Nason Vassiliev added four and Jacob Henry had 3.

Colby Brown had two goals for the Crusaders.

 

The Bangor girls varsity team took on the defending Class A champ Messalonksee. The Eagles beat the first-year Rams 15-1.

Lauren Pickett scored three goals and Ally Turner had two.

Giovanna Tompkins scored the Bangor goal.

The Rams are still looking for their first win. Messalonksee is 6-3.
