YouTube/Roger McCord  The University of Southern Maine pitching staff allowed 17 hits in a 10-1 loss to Linfield College on day the of the World Series.Coach Ed Flaherty used 10 different pitchers with none of them throwing more than 1.2 innings. Linfield, the number one team in the nation and coached by former Major Leaguer Scott Brosius jumped on the huskies early scoring 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

USM must now advance through the losers bracket and play Webster College out of St. Louis Missouri at 1pm on Sunday. Webster stayed alive in the tournament after pounding Manchester, the 9th ranked team in the nation on Saturday 15-3.
