Huskies Vs Riots: Battle Of Unbeatens

It's a big week in the LTC Class D North with the top four teams meeting face to face. Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket has both games live - Friday night at 7pm from Pittsfield and Saturday at 1pm from Thorndike.

MCI vs Orono, 7pm: The Huskies and Red Riots are tied for first place in the LTC at 6-0. Both teams have strong senior quarterbacks. MCI's Josh Buker has thrown 10 TD passes and rushed for 3 more. Orono's Jackson Coutts has passed for 10 TDs and rushed for 4 TDs.

The MCI ground game includes Willie Moss, Eli Bussell and Adam Bertrand. The Orono attack includes Keenan Collett, Matt Fowler an Josiah Grace.

The stats show the Red Riots throw the ball twice as much as the Huskies do.

Mt. View vs Dexter, 1pm Saturday: This game features the #3 and #4 teams in the LTC. The Mustangs have rushed for over 1,500 yards. The Tigers are likely to throw the ball more. QB Brayden Miller leads the league with 12 TD passes.

The game also includes interesting coach stories. Mt.View head coach is Haggie Pratt. He is a former Dexter coach and still coaches track at that school. The Tigers have co-head coaches, Brian Salsbury and Andrew Shorey
