Husson University overcame a 4-0 shutout against Bates College to get a shutout of their own to beat the Bobcats 1-0 in the nightcap of a non-conference double header.In the first game Bates scored all 4 runs in the first two innings to post the win as they held Husson to just 5 hits in the game.

Kayla Merrill took over in game two pitching the complete game 2-hitter while striking out 7. Merrill's sister Lyndsay drove in the only run of the game in the 5th inning.

The Eagles are now 18-9 on the season and host Lyndon State and Johnson State this weekend, the last games on the North Atlantic Conference schedule.
