History will be made today when the Husson University football team takes the field for its  first ever NCAA playoff game.Gabby Price's Eagles take on an MIT team that is also playing its first postseason game. The Eagles are led on the offensive side of the ball by Rookie of the Year running back John Smith who has rushed for 1,144 yards and 13 touchdowns. Quarterback Joe Seccareccia has completed 50% of his passes for 13 touchdowns.

MIT plays out of the New England Football Conference and like the Eagles, took home four major postseason awards while placing 10 players on their first team all-conference squad.

Justin Wallace is their power running back and comes in with an impressive 1,445 yards and 16 touchdowns. Senior linebacker Cameron Wagner leads the Engineers defense with 76 tackles, a sack and an interception.
