The Husson men's basketball team used an 18-5 spurt early in the second half to put away Colby-Sawyer in the NAC battle of undefeated teams. The Eagles win it 87-66.

Husson improves to 6-0 in the NAC and 10-2 overall. The Chargers drop to 5-1 and 8-4.

Freshman DJ Bussey led the Eagles charge with 28 points. He shot 10-for-12 from the field, 6-for-8 on three-pointers. Raheem Anderson scored 25.

Dana Bean had 20 for Colby-Sawyer.

Husson host New England College Saturday at 3pm in another conference game.

In the women's game, Colby-Sawyer nipped Husson 54-53 in the first game of the Friday night doubleheader. Former Oxford Hills HS standout Tianna Sugars scored 15 points, including key free throws in the final seconds to get a win for the Chargers.

Kenzie Worcester led the Eagles with 17.

But too many turnovers(21) cost the Eagles, who drop to 5-2 in the NAC and 6-6 overall.

The Chargers move into second place in the conference at 5-1 and are 9-3 overall.
