Husson Pounds Dean 44-12

Husson Eagles tailback John Smith rushed for 159 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Eagles won their ECFC conference opener 44-12 over Dean College of Massachusetts.

After spotting the Bulldogs the first touchdown, Husson scored six TDs. All six were on the ground. Four by Smith and one each from Chuck Browne and Rpbenson Saintard.

For Smith, he keeps adding to his own school records, over 5,000 career yards and now 56 TDs.

The Eagles defense held Dean to 146 yards of total offense, including just 36 on the ground. Luke Washburn and Christian Mowrer led the defense with seven tackles each.

Husson moves to 2-0 (1-0 ECFC).and will now get a bye week.

It was the season opener for Dean.
