heidishaw  For the first time in program history the Husson University softball team won a regional game beating Bridgewater State 1-0.The match-up was an elimination game after the Eagles lost their opener to Rowan College 1-0 earlier in the day.

Husson was able to take advantage of three Bridgewater errors in the 2nd inning which allowed Deb Colpitts to score the lone run of the game. Kayla Merrill went 5.2 innings to get the win, while Amanda Ryan closed out the game to pick up the save.

Next up for the Eagles will be the loser of Tufts and Springfield College at 12 noon Saturday.
