Both Husson University basketball teams keep racking up conference wins. Friday night vs Johnson State the men's team won 90-87. The women's team scored a 70-46 victory.

The Eagles men's team had its hands full against the Badgers. In fact, J-State had a 3-point shot attempt for the tie.

Raheem Anderson led Husson with 31 points but it was Justin Martin who filled the stat sheet the most - 14 points, 22 rebounds and 6 blocks.

The Eagles out rebounded the much smaller Badgers 55-31 and held them to 4-for-24 shooting from the three point line. Yet the game stayed close all night.

The win make Husson 6-1 in NAC play (1st place) and 8-4 overall.

Johnson State falls to 3-4 and 6-8.

The women's team at Husson battled with the Badgers for much of the first half and were slowed down by the Johnson State zone defense.  The road team outscored the Eagles 12-9 in the second quarter before Husson made some halftime adjustments and pushed to a comfortable 24 point win.

The Eagles were led in scoring by the 16 points of Kenzie Worcester, who also led the team with nine rebounds.  Darla Morales and Chandler Guerrette also chipped in with 13 points.

With the victory, Husson moves to 10-1 on the season and a perfect 7-0 in NAC play.

The Eagles will welcome in Lyndon State for another double header on Saturday afternoon on campus.
