It's game day for the Husson University basketball teams who who begin play in the NCAA tournament tonight with bot teams looking for their first win at the big dance.The Husson men will hit the floor tonight at 7:30 against Amherst who is hosting the regional and is ranked 13th in the nation. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools in men's basketball.

Husson is led by senior Trevon Butler who enters the game with an average of 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Raheem Anderson is averaging 21 points per game and has shot 37% form behind the arch this season.

Amherst has won the national championship twice including their last title in 2013. They have an overall record of 37-17 in the national tournament.

Kissy Walker's women's team will square off against Albright College in a regional being played in New Jersey.

The Eagles who posted 20 wins for the first time in 12 years will take their lead form senior Vicki McIntyre who has scored 12 points per game and pulls down an average of 7 boards per game.

Husson's guard combo of freshman Kenzie Worcester and junior Chandler Guerrette have been the defensive leaders helping the Eagles force their opponenets into making an average of 22 turnovers per game.

Albright is ranked 9th in the latest national poll and has a record of 25-2 and is currently riding a school record 13 game winning streak. They have the ability to score with 4 players averaging double digits this season.

The Eagles and Lions will tip-off tonight at 5:30.
