The Husson Eagles stay unbeaten in the ECFC but it was anything but easy to defeat the Becker College Hawks 49-30 Saturday afternoon.

The two teams combined for 923 yards of offense, 631 of those yards were passing yards.

The Eagles ground game was a big difference, outgaining the Hawks 262-60. And, Husson scored four rushing touchdowns.

The big one was John Smith's 70-yard TD run just seconds after Becker had cut the Husson lead to 28-24. Smith finished with 197 yards on 39 carries.

Eagles QB Joe Seccareccia was 24-for-35, 282 yards, 2 TD and 2 interceptions.

Becker QB Nas Sinkfield-Shelton threw for 349 yards and 3 TDs.

With the win, Husson improves to 3-0 in the ECFC (4-1 overall). The Eagles play at Gallaudet in Washington D.C. next week.

Becker is now 1-1 ECFC, 3-3 overall.
