Rain forced the final day of the North Atlantic Conference tournament inside the Mahaney Dome where the Husson Eagles won three games to claim their 6th straight championship.

Husson trailed 4-2 in the top of the 7th inning with two outs when Lyndsay Merrill's rbi single closed the gap to a run. After Chelsea Brennan walked, freshman Casey Lopes ripped a 2-run single the gap in left center giving the Eagles a 5-4 lead. Haley Spiers extended the lead with a 2-run double making it 7-4.

Amanda Ryan got the last two outs to end the game and get Husson back into the NCAA tournament.

Husson forced the if necessary game when Nicole Andrade hit a walk-off 2-run homer. For Andrade it was her first at-bat of the game after replacing Sami Schultz who left with a dislocated finger.

NAC Player of the Year Kayla Merrill picked-up two wins on the day and two hits was named tournament MVP.

The Eagles who improve to 30-10 will find out where and who they will play when the NCAA selection show takes place at 10am Monday.
