Husson,USM Ready For ECAC,LEC Tourneys

Both Husson and USM baseball teams continue their quests for a NCAA bid with tournament games. The Eagles in the ECAC, the Huskies in the LEC.

Coach Jason Harvey's Husson team has already won its NAC conference championship.The Eagles play in Connecticut against the Coast Guard in the ECAC quarterfinals tomorrow. Keep in mind, the NAC does not have an automatic qualifier to a NCAA regional this year. Husson is fighting to get as many wins as possible(26-17) in an attempt to get an at-large bid from the NCAA.

Coach Ed Flaherty's USM Huskies are 33-7 and the #1 seed for the Little East Conference tournament that starts today on the Gorham campus. The Huskies are ranked #16 in this week's national Division-3 poll. The LEC winner does get an automatic bid.

The NCAA selection show for division-3 baseball takes place on Monday.
