The Boston Bruins scored two first period goals, the only two that would be needed to beat Phoenix 2-1 and extend their winning streak to seven games.Zdeno Chara's wrist shot nearly six minutes into the game put the Bruins on the board. Jerome Iginla would score his team leading 21st goal of the season just before the end of the period and turn out to be the eventual game winner.

Tuukka Rask had another solid night in goal making 21 saves for his 30th win of the season.
