Warren, Hickson Start Strong In PGA Tourney [SCORES]

Windham's Shawn Warren is part of a five way tie after the first round of the PGA Professional National Championships taking place this week in Philadelphia.Warren, who is the club pro at Falmouth Country Club shot a first round of 4-under-par 68 along with four others to share the lead after day one of the 4-day tournament.

Topsham's John Hickson, the club pro at Sabasco Estates put up a 1-over-par 73 which was good enough to put him into a tie for 32nd out of the field of 309 to start the tourney.

The top 20 finishers will get a spot into the 97th PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, the final major tournament on the PGA tour of the season.
